MORTGAGE MISSELLINGThe mortgage sector has, so far, not experienced any crisis of misselling but the credit crunch is testing complaint and dispute resolution. The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) has started to see an uplift in the number of mortgage complaints, which could be due to a growing compensation culture as much as the economic downturn.Whatever the reason, the whole industry, both lenders and intermediaries are coming under additional scrutiny.
