CHRIS CUMMINGS

Chris Cummings is the Director General of AIFA and a non executive director of Telos Solutions. His drive, tenacity and direction has established a campaigning style of lobbying which has earned AIFA and its members industry wide respect, opened doors for discussion and ensured the opinions of the professional advice community are heard amongst the regulators and decision makers.

Chris joined AIFA in 2003 to form the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI, the sister association of AIFA, for mortgage intermediaries). Within two years, he firmly established AMI as the leading trade association for mortgage intermediaries taking it from a standing start representing over 80% of mortgage intermediaries.

He was previously Marketing Director of Sun Bank plc, and was tempted into banking having spent two years at PwC as a management consultant advising financial services firms across the spectrum. Prior to this he was with PPP Healthcare and at Mercer Fraser where he was a management consultant serving clients in financial services and aerospace!

He has written a book on mortgage regulation, (the practitioners guide to mortgage regulation) is regularly featured in the press and is a highly sought after industry speaker.
